lee, around 1800-2100 baht. too pricey for us for a short fight. we're junkies so we find it a bit of a rip-off. hehe

hi Pinoy Boy

THANKS FOR THE TIP! we are in Manila now :-) we had our Peso changed over the counter. we found one in phatphong but the rate was really a huge rip off. and yes, we might go back to Thailand, but out of Bangkok most likely. Chiang mai is a good idea, thanks for the recommendation.

Lub D is mid range in terms of budget (at least for us). but we decided to stay there, since we thought it was the highlight of the trip, hehehe. ;-)

hey i just got back from thailand, all over thailand actually which includes south and north to chiangmai, peso isn't actually a popular currency. Most banks and currency exchange don't deal with peso. I found one in bangkok but the deal was very very bad. If you're still in bangkok, i think the best deal you can exchange your peso to thai baht is at a filipino store called kabayan which is right across first house hotel near platinum mall. I got a very bad deal when i exchanged my peso, the last set of money i have, i'd rather forget about it. how did you find bangkok? chaotic, isn't it? how was lub'd? was a choice for me but was too expensive for my budget, so i opted for one of the cheaper guesthouses along khao san! Happy travels! Visit Chiangmai! Highly recommended!
