People going to Sagada have proven that it is a place of marvel. Surrounded by rice terraces adorned with mountains cradling caves of the old, I just knew there’s more to this famous place than meets the eye. A discovery made by not only me, but by everyone who visited this part of the mountain province.
The food is just glorious.

From the Tourist Police Station in Banaue, I waited for the bus going to Bontoc. I had to sit there for almost two hours till a van arrived going to the same destination. The trip took 2 hours on the roughest road you can imagine. One thing is for sure, I won’t be able to explore Bontoc. It was a good thing we had a stop over to take some pictures of Bontoc’s version of rice terraces. Instead of mud used in Banaue, this part of the province used stones.

After enslaving myself for three days, I decided to reward myself. My thanks to Ron for suggesting Sagada as my destination. The fact that Ron had just started with his new company forced me to leave without him. The morning I got back from the office, I packed my bags and kissed my miserable room goodbye.
