Oh yeah baby! We are in a good mood to channel a noontime show and throw out some giveaways!
We will be giving away our top three fab finds during our epic Thailand-Laos-Vietnam trip last month. Yes boys and girls and everybody in between (majority), there were idle times that we were sober enough to go out and do some (ehem) shopping!
We decided to bag our top picks we scored in the local markets of Pai, Vang Vieng and Hanoi to give to y’all our beloved flip’n readers!
FAB FIND#1 Our fave …

We signed up for a contest sponsored by Heinz and United Airlines, and the peg is to write about our Heinz Fun experience.
Instead of writing the usual strokes in article, I was inspired to hit two birds in one stone and write a letter instead–A letter addressed to my condiment choice and my objet d’amour. Because my fun experience with this bottle of goodness happened when I was drowning in love, and cheesy as it may sound but when you are in love, you tend to associate and relate every single …

It took more than 30 minutes of open highway motorbike ride to head off to our final stop of the day. But the old school asphalt road and the feel of isolation in the driest place in Asia made the joy ride seem shorter than a house party quickie stint. (Disclaimer: I do not know anything about quickies! I’m telling the truth).
I learned a new skill of taking pictures on a running motorbike, but the speeding open vehicle, the smashing wind, fine dust and some random flying small objects hurts …

Previously, on Fliptravels:
We were both drifting fast to La-la land when I asked Monette…
Ron: We booked a round trip ticket right?
Monette: Yeah…
Ron: Is it (the return ticket) with you?
Monette: No…
Both: HOH CRAP!!!
And so we endured half of the five-hour trip to Mui Ne with shooting BPs as we don’t know how we can get hold of our return tickets. At the pit stop, I quickly took my caffeine fix; and with closed eyes, called our hotel that booked us the tour (Ron also had to call them to make sure …

… Another stretch of walking was followed with more walking, the setting sun and cramped limbs reminded us that we have a cultural event to attend at 6:30 PM. Oh yes boys and girls, your folks here are no “all beer, no humanity” celebrities (celebrities?!). In fact, we always make it to a point to indulge in a traditional and/or artsy event whenever we are on the road. Remember our Apsara night in Siem Reap? the Hutong courtyard in Beijing? The Wayang Kulit in Yogya? and the Pingpong show in …

9:13 AM
I stepped out of Tan Son Nhat International Airport arrival exit. I spotted Monette in the middle of the crowd of friends and families of arriving passengers. That particular moment felt like a halftone vignette in 30 degree-sephia, captured in slow motion. Slow-mo mainly because of our heavy backpacks but also because we missed each other so much after months of separation. We ran to hug each other right in the middle of a Vietnamese audience–Like a cheesy Bea and John Lloyd scene minus the romance.
I was overwhelmed with the fact …

My life in Manila, and I’m sure Ron experiences the same thing in Singapore, is a terrible whirlwind that can toss the nicest hairdo I can ever pull with my long hair. I wake up, take a shower, go to the office, work, work some more and go on overtime (because what else is there to do?), go home, and finally sleep, if I can manage to sleep at all. I mean, I love my work and the lovely and talented people I’m with, and there is no sarcasm in …
