We entered the gates of SMX convention center and we were greeted with swaying music from a group of people sitting on a corner platform, the aqua floral skirts and shirts made us suspect that Lito Atienza was all behind the gig, the beach-y music and the smiles on their faces lured a crowd like mermaids hypnotizing seafarers down to the deep oblivious seabed.
Then BHAM! Some cute half naked boys in hay skirts started ambushing the lulling crowd with their sticks whirling in the air. (Sticks, bamboo sticks and stop thinking ...

It was when the sun was not quite where it should be, a little hidden behind feathers of clouds that waft lazily above Mui Ne, Vietnam. The tide ebbed a little higher to kiss the breakwater that saved the cozy beach restaurant and its loungers regular ocean spittles. The wind was unforgiving for not showing up, not one kite dotted the sky. The colorful canopies were instead carefully rolled and tucked in little cubby holes or in backpacks that hug the long-faced kite-surfers who fervently prayed for wind.
I liked that ...

It seems like I am becoming the unofficial tour guide of my friends and fellow travel bloggers whenever they visit Singapore, or should I say, the official ambassador to hawkers and malls of this country. Most often than not, visitors to this little red dot would only want to see one thing to take their pictures with… Ulysses.

If you don’t know who Ulysses is, well, he’s the half Simba half Ariel icon of SIN city.
Couple of years ago, an “engineering wonder” rose from the bay and blocked the once unobstructed bay ...

Philippine passport holder can enjoy three months in Morocco without resorting to impersonating a desert gypsy or worse, a camel, to elude the immigration authority who will track you down the slopes of the desert.
It has been in our bucket list to fly to Marrakech for the longest time but the biggest roadblock for budget travelers like us is the airfare. Unless there’s a really dirt cheap flights ...

Christmas is about presents, gifts, celebrations, love giving and groping someone under the mistletoe. But as adults, we would always go back to the days of our childhood when Christmas was purely fun and happiness. Those times when we don’t have to worry about bills and responsibilities; heart aches and life’s drama or how on earth will we be able to make our budget work for holiday shopping while juggling other expenses to support our ADL’s.
That’s when we just want to wish one thing this Christmas: To go back in ...

A cultural practice, a religious symbol, a mark of a hero, a baptism of fire, and more have characterized the tattoos of the early days (actually, even up to now). Today, this practice has cut across cultures and is borne by different gender, ages, and nationality. Some got it in Miami while in the middle of their Florida Holidays and some got it from a traditional Sak Yant Monk tattooist in a monastery in Laos. As I spend time on the road, I have noticed a huge population of travelers sporting one, if not ...

The beauty of Delhi stretches across the extreme ends of all imaginable continua; peace-chaos, eccentric-conventional, aromatic-stinky and the list goes on. It could be the reason why it is a real challenge for experts to put together a definitive guide to this colorful city.
The City’s reputation among outsiders are somewhat unanimous and they see this place as filthy yet an authentic exotic destination. India is a huge subcontinent but this capital city is pretty difficult to ignore. Most Flights to Delhi are coming from the biggest international hubs and that is why the ...

It was a last minute gig when a fellow travel blogger and friend Lloyd shot me a holler that he will be here in Singapore to cover the event. So he tagged me along. I know I’m such a lucky bastard to score a $1,400 worth of event passes. It is the time of the year when the Singapore Land Transportation ...
